Northwestern Pennsylvania Behavioral Health Services
ECCM offers behavioral health services for people who are homeless in Northwestern Pennsylvania.
The homeless person behavioral health program assists persons with serious mental illness who reside in emergency shelters and/or places not fit for human habitation, “doubled-up” living situations, or who are being evicted.
At ECCM, we provide case management to individuals who meet the above criteria to help link them up with mental health treatment, rehabilitation, and housing resources they need to live an "Everyday Life".

Yes. According to a 2015 survey, 45% of homeless Americans suffered from a mental illness, with 25% being severe cases. Mental health affects all aspects of a person’s life, including their ability to find and keep housing. Treating these problems at the source helps individuals to break the cycle.
In addition to those experiencing homelessness, the Homeless Persons Behavioral Health program also provides assistance to those who live in emergency shelters, in places not fit for human habitation, and those in the process of being evicted.
In addition to behavioral health services, this program also helps connect homeless individuals with housing resources, such as the Shelter Plus Care Program.
